Omaroo High Country Retreat - Pet friendly rural escape

Perfect high country family stay. Positive: Keren & Jon have a wonderful retreat on their property. Although it’s next door yo their house, they either weren’t there or were so quiet it felt super private. The property is only a 20 min drive from Mansfield & maybe 1.5 hours out from Mt Buller, it was the perfect base for our trip to the snow. We could also see the Milky Way, the sky is that dark out there. When I enquired about a fire pit because the kids wanted to try roasting marshmallows & drink hot chocolates, the hosts made sure to have plenty of marshmallows out for our arrival. Negative: Our almost 1 year old tried his best to get into all the kitchen cupboards 😅 Everything else was perfect.

Relaxing getaway with our dogs and friends. Positive: Beautiful location. Lovely hosts. And clean property. The binder provided was perfect. Negative: It was all amazing. No complaints.

Omaroo Cottage Positive: Great cottage in a quiet area with excellent amenities and fantastic hosts. Very clean and well stocked with basic supplies. shame we couldn't stay longer. Negative: It was a shame we couldn't stay longer

A pleasant and tranquil place to stay, offering comfortable accommodations and a lovely pool. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. It is a dog-friendly property, which we appreciated, though it is worth planning ahead as the outdoor area accessible to dogs is not fully enclosed. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
